After checking in, we took a quick walk around downtown. Unfortunately, since it was 5pm on a Sunday, nothing was open. So we decided to head back to the Inn for an evening social. The Inn Keepers serve wine and appetizers while the guests mingle and chat in the Inn's Living room. We met an older couple who were on a driving tour of the South. They were very nice and we talked for a while. But all that talking made us hungry! So we headed out to the 11th Street Dockside restaurant for dinner. Along with some good seafood, we saw one of the most amazing sunsets ever. It started off light blue and purple but within an hour, turned hot pink and orange!
The next morning, we woke up freezing! But soon warmed up with some coffee in the 'reading room'. It was probably my favorite room in the house mainly because of the view but also because it was just so cute!
Check-out time was 11am, so after breakfast, we gathered our things and said good-bye to the Cuthbert House Inn. All in all, we had a fantastic time celebrating our two year anniversary.

What a pretty house and what a gorgeous sunset. I'm so glad you had a good time and got a little time off from work.
Happy Anniverssary! A match made in heaven! We are very thankful for you both and love seeing your happy time. What a beautiful spot and inn. They should use your pictures for a brochure. The photography is awesome. The sunset will be my new screen saver. Love you both.
Nicole, you could have a second career writing for travel advertising (or anything for that matter). What a great job of making us want to stay at Cuthbert House. They should see this blog.
What a wonderful idea and what a gorgeous place to stay. Great pictures too (love the first one of you guys at the top). Happy Anniversary!
GORGEOUS sunset! Happy Anniversary (a little late)!!
Sandy, I will have to second that comment on Nicole's writing! I just love reading it and her talent just draws you into the story like I was there in person!! Love it Nicole!!!
The sunset is like a great relationship. It usally starts off a little cool and then with age it glows radient with color. Beautiful pictures and beautiful people. The love you both have for each other is a display of your writing and the colors in that sunset. Love you both!!!
Now I know where Nicole gets her gift for writing. Looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Liz, this looks like a good place for you and me to chat, too. :) Take Care
