The Finished Product

I'm happy to report I finally finished the baby quilt I started back in February. It turned out great (I think, at least). The hardest part was hand stitching the binding (the green fabric around the edge)... if you turn it over and look closely, you can see my inconsistent stitches. But whatever. It's my first quilt. I'm sure I'll get better with practice. :)

Darrell and Ashley's Wedding

Well, they are no longer The 'Soon-To-Be' Braces but THE BRACES now! YAHOO! All in all, the day was perfect. The weather cooperated (though it could have been a bit cooler). Darrell looked great. Ashley looked gorgeous. The ceremony was awesome (and so sweet). And the reception was a blast. We are so proud of them and were honored to be a part of their special day. Enjoy the pics.

It's 10:30 PM. I go to let the dogs out for their last bathroom break. I open the door. I turn on the back light. And I'm greeted with this:

Pretty impressive, considering he did this in about 2.5 hrs. The web is literally 2 feet from the back door, completely blocking the stairs. This is actually the second time he's done this... the first time, Bruin 'moved' him before I got the chance to take a picture. We just left him this time. We figure, the man's gotta eat. :)

Two Hot Dogs

It's officially summer in Charleston... yesterday it got up to 94 degrees with a heat index of about 110 degrees. Now that's HOT! And when you're a little black dog with a short muzzle, that's really hot. So to help the boys stay cool when they are outside (which is not often), we bought them a little pool...

A Big, Ole' Birthday Bash

We survived!! That's really all I can about the past two weekends... Last weekend, we had out-of-town family and big dinner plans. This weekend, we had out-of-town friends, a big birthday party and incredibly hot temps. But I wouldn't have changed a thing. Bruin's 30th birthday celebration was just that - a celebration. And this past weekend was no exception. All of us in the Robinson house are exhausted but are so grateful for awesome friends and generous family. Thanks to EVERYONE for pulling off the best birthday party EVER. Enjoy the pics.
